O Oscar 2011 terá 3h15m de duração, segundo Fonte Interna do Teatro Kodak, divulgado recentemente. Embora a produção do evento não tenha liberado a lista de apresentadores, ou performances, há um monologo de Billy Cristal confirmado, cuja prenuncio é o próprio show de abertura de James Franco e Anne Hathaway, que serão “inseridos” em cada um dos 10 filmes indicados, à moda do velho apresentador.
O show está dividido em seis partes. Cada uma realçando um momento sublime do cinema. A Parte 1 é “A Glória da sétima Arte” e engloba os Prêmios de Direção de Arte, Fotografia, Animação, além de Melhor Atriz Coadjuvante. A Parte 2 é os “Primórdios do Cinema” com as estatuetas de Roteiro, Filme Estrangeiro e Ator Coadjuvante. A Parte 3 engloba a transição do cinema mudo para o falado, ou seja, todos os Prêmios Técnicos Sonoros, incluindo o primeiro clipe de canções originais. A Parte 4 é a “Técnica e Narrativa” pontuado pelos prêmios de Maquiagem, Direção de Arte, Documentários e Curtas. A Parte 5 é o “Cinema e a Televisão”, com os Oscars de Efeitos Visuais, Montagem e Direção. Por fim, os “big awards” fecham a festa, num grande cenário que honra o glamour de um tapete vermelho.
